SPANISH CLASS
Day 1.
Spanish is one of the languages derived from Latin. It's spoken in Spain, some states in the US, in about 97% of South America, many countries in North America and in Africa. It's a language which, having some basic knowledge of, will help you in understanding languages like Italian, French and Portuguese.
Today, I will start from the letters/alphabets and introduction/salutation. You should understand that I have a life outside social media, so, this will not be an everyday class. Worthy of note is, my overall knowledge of the language is limited as I'm not a native. But the little I'm going to teach would be a standard Spanish. Questions are allowed, but based on the lesson on board.

The spelling of Spanish uses a variant of the Latin alphabet, which consists of 27 letters: a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, i, j, k, l, m, n, ñ , o, p, q, r, s, t, u, v, w, x, y and z. Likewise, five digraphs are also used to represent other phonemes: "ch", "ll", "rr", "gu" and "qu", these last two being considered as positional variants for the representation of phonemes / g / and /k/.
The digraphs ch and ll have specific phonetic values, so in the Spanish Spelling of 1754 they began to be considered as letters of the Spanish alphabet and from the publication of the fourth edition of the Dictionary of the Spanish language in 1803 were ordered separately from c and l.

Love/Like = gusta
Love means QUIERO too, depending when you're using it
For example:
I love you = Te quiero
I like you = Me gustas
QUIERO also means WANT.
I want bread = Quiero pan (Pan = Bread)

In Spanish, a word could mean different things. And they have masculine and feminine words to distinguish the genders
Most masculine words ends with "O", while most feminine words ends with "A"
Eg; Boy = Chico
Girl = Chica
Girlfriend (for lovers) = Novia
Boyfriend (for lovers) = Novio
Girlfriend (normal friend) = Amiga
Boyfriend (normal friend) = Amigo.
Teacher (male) = Profesor / Maestro
Teacher (female) = Profesora / Maestra
